Catholic Law’s Elizabeth Kirk Participated in the “Reproductive Justice in a Post-Dobbs World” Panel at the 2024 AALS Annual Meeting

On January 4, 2024, National Council For Adoption’s (NCFA) President and CEO, Ryan Hanlon, and Catholic Law’s Elizabeth Kirk, Co-Director of the Center for Law and the Human Person, were part of a six person panel discussion, Reproductive Justice in a Post-Dobbs World, held at the Association of American Law Schools’ (AALS) annual meeting. Kirk and Hanlon’s presentation focused on the importance of non-coercion and accurate information for expectant parents pursuing adoption.

Kirk had this to say about the presentation, “In this post-Dobbs environment, I was eager to present our work on adoption as a point of connection on an otherwise divisive issue, and to suggest laws and policies that would empower women to make fully informed, voluntary decisions.”
