About the Event
Over 70,000 children are adopted in the United States every year, with a majority coming from foster care. Following the Dobbs decision, private infant adoption could be presented as a viable and even empowering option for women. But some are calling for an end to adoption because of the trauma adoptees sometimes say they feel. How should policymakers think about the new legal environment for adoption, and how can adoption agencies help birth parents better navigate the challenges of the current cultural environment?
